Herbal Skin Tag Treatment


Skin tags are very common among people of all ages and both sexes, particularly among middle-aged and older people. However, many people are more interested in herbal skin tag treatment due to its non-invasive nature and also because herbal skin tag treatment is comparatively inexpensive. In addition, it does not require you to visit a doctor/surgeon for cryotherapy / skin tag freezing, but treats the skin tags safely from the comfort of your home. Following are some of the tried sources of herbal skin tag treatment.

Castor Oil

Castor oil is a proven herbal skin tag treatment that is also popularly used for treating some other skin conditions. Castor oil is extracted from Ricinus communis and can be used as an effective herbal skin tag treatment at home. To make the remedy, castor oil is mixed with baking soda and stirred until the mixture takes the form of a paste. It should be applied then to skin tags three times daily. In a few weeks, the skin tags will become dry and eventually fall off.

Tea Tree Oil

Tea tree oil has been used as an effective herbal skin tag treatment. Its use for removing skin tags is even simpler than that of castor oil. With a clean cotton ball, tea tree oil should be applied to the skin tags three times daily for about two weeks. The skin tags will become dry and fall off. Tea tree oil is also known to stimulate the immune system for fighting off infections. For safety reasons, tea tree oil should not be applied to skin tags that are near the eyes.

Apple Cider Vinegar

A well-known herbal skin tag treatment is apple cider vinegar. It can be applied skin tags with a soft and clean cotton ball a few times daily. The cotton ball should be held on the tags gently for about half a minute. It is important to remember that apple cider vinegar should not be used on skin tags on the eyelids or anywhere near eyes. Also, the user should wash his/her hands thoroughly after applying apple cider vinegar to skin tags.

Dermisil

Some herbal extracts available in health stores are good for removing skin tags. Dermisil is one such popular herbal skin tag treatment. It has some effective ingredients from medicinal plants including Ricinus communis. Depending on the size of the tags, Dermisil makes skin tags disappear in two to six weeks. It can also be used by children above the age of five years. However, Dermisil is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Also, it should not be applied to skin tags on eyelids or to those which are close to the eyes.
